V4.5: Creating A Vehicle on Tablet

We have slightly changed the way a vehicle created from the tablet behaves. Instead of opening to a blank work order, the newly created vehicle will simply open up to the assigned inspection.

If your shop’s process involves creating vehicles from the tablet, our BEST PRACTICE of ONLY entering the odometer after scanning a VIN still holds true. Following this best practice will help our systems merge the tile created from the vehicle and the tile created from your shop management system. Utilizing this process also allows the technician to begin a preliminary inspection while the service advisor finalizes the jobs that will need to be completed on the vehicle.

If you assign an inspection using the drop-down menu , then the vehicle will simply open to that inspection sheet. We assume that there are no jobs on the worksheet
